Beta Pi Class Initiation; Record Alumni Turnout

On Saturday, January 16th, The Alumni Association welcomed our newest undergraduate brothers of the Beta Pi Pledge Class into our Chapter. The Ritual was held in the Founders Suite at the Bone Student Center (the same equipment and room which was used to induce Br. Dr. Al Bowman, President of Illinois State University, in 2004).

New Alumni Relations Officer Appointed!

Worthy Master John Schueller has appointed Kyle Logan Simkins the new Alumni Relations Officer (ARO), replacing previous ARO Matt Decreval. Kyle has previously served the chapter as Worthy Master and Worthy Scribe(Secretary). Kyle is a senior English Major in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and has a great relationship with officers of the Alumni Association and trustees on the Board of Trustees. Kyle can be reached via email at klsimki@ilstu.edu.

Alumni Asked to Help Recruit!

It’s recruitment time again, and the Undergraduate Recruitment Chairman Zac Summers has asked that alumni come to the recruitment events and help out! This is a great opportunity for alumni to not only meet with and gauge prospective members, but also meet their undergraduate brothers.

Scholarship Room Contstruction

Work is continuing on the construction of the Scholarship Library in the ATO House at 608 Broadway! Last weekend, Dan Manno (Board of Trustees Chairman) and Andy D’Amico (President, Alumni Association) purchased a drop ceiling to install, and Dan is securing laminate flooring to finish the room. We are planning on making a trip down to ISU this weekend January 9th to at least install the ceiling and finish the wall work.

Please Excuse the Mess!

Welcome to our new website! Please excuse the mess over the next week... We're building it live and it may be down from time to time, or have features which appear one minute and disappear the next! But I promise you that in a few weeks, everything will be ironed out. Please DO NOT register on this site - I will send out a message once registration is open!

Undergraduates Top GPA!

12/23/09 - Worthy Master John Schueller released big news today. The Office of Greek Affairs released the semester grade report earlier this week, and Theta Theta undergraduate members topped the Fraternity GPA ranking at number 1 with a GPA of 2.90! Board of Trustee Chairman Dan Manno is excited by this "Christmas Gift" and said that our Worthy Master is confident of breaking a chapter 3.0 this upcoming semester - a feat which was last accomplished in 2004.

New Website Unveiled!

The Alumni Association has just unveiled her new website! Similar to the old website, the new webste is more user focused, encouraging our members to interact with eachother and truely form bonds as lasting as humanity. The upgrades includes:

Alpha Tau Omega Foundation

"Founded in 1935 by a $5,000 gift from Erskine Mayo Ross, one of the Founders of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity, the Alpha Tau Omega Foundation is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. Alpha Tau Omega has been entrusted with an important and influential role in the lives of its young men. It honors this trust by providing educational programs and scholarships of the highest standards. To maintain this standard, the Foundation depends on the regular financial support of its alumni, parents, friends and income from the Foundation's endowment.

Annual Appeal

As you know, the Alumni Association exists based soley on the generous gifts granted by the alumni and benefactors, either financially or by donating your time. For some, the time may just be enough to rally up a few more members at one of our many events thought the year; for others, our Fraternity may be calling you to take on a leadership roll in the Association, the Housing Corperation, or the Board of Trustees. Reguardless, you time is important to us, for without it, we could not exist. Personally, a dedication of your time to the Association is worth more than any dollar amount (however, we are of course grateful for your finacial contributions as well).
