Zac Summers Lauded, ATO Places 2nd in GPhiB CampWeek.
On April 8th, the men of the Illinois Theta Theta Chapter were awarded second place in the Gamma Phi Beta’s celebrated “Camp Week” philanthropy and brother Zac Summers received the prestigious “Camper of the Year” award. After camping out at the ATO house in normal for the weeklong event, participating in various activities and competitions meant to build brotherhood and strengthen our Greek community, the second place finish was a significant morale boost for the men beginning their 35th year on Illinois State’s campus.
Worthy Keeper of Annals Rahil Kassam enthusiastically “texted” a myriad of alumni following the event, sharing the chapters success. “I am proud of our guys, especially Zac Summers” said Alumnus Kevin Petschow (BoT member and Alumni Association Public Relations Officer) following news of the award.
Traditionally, Alpha Tau Omega has had a strong history of placing in the annual competition, receiving first place for several years in a row in the early 2000’s. In 2005 Theta Theta co-hosted the event with Gamma Phi Beta.
